Drip, drip, drip…no more hand watering!

Backyard Landscape CAD Drawing Tonight Julie and I finished installing the main drip irrigation which will water all of the backyard’s raised beds and ground cover. (Psst! Wanna know the trick to slip drip irrigation tubing together with barbed slip connectors? KY Jelly! I learned that trick from the Irrigation Tutorials website. It really works, too.) Drip irrigation is the most efficient method of irrigating. While sprinkler systems are around 75-85% efficient, drip systems typically are 90% or higher.

Tomorrow night: add 1/4″ feeder lines for the 4 Crape Myrtle and Navel Orange trees. And then the backyard irrigation Will. Be. Complete.

Here’s the CAD drawing of the landscape and irrigation plan. So far, things are following the plan nicely:

Julie - You ought to take those sketches and make them into a quilt.

Don’t those plans look like they could be a neat quilt top?
