Baby, it’s cold outside…
In the Northern hemisphere, weather patterns typically move from West to East (Left to Right). A few days ago, it was bone-chilling cold here in Northern California. Not cold like “oh dear, I’m gonna need to put my long-sleeve T-shirt on” kinda cold but “oh dear, I’m gonna need to put on another COAT on top of this one” kinda cold.
It was in the 20’s and mid-teens. That’s COLD no matter where you’re from:
We used some of Julie’s bolts of quilting fabric to wrap the new vines up…we didn’t know how they’d fair in the low temps. And last year when we had a cold-snap, we lost the original vine — a Bougainvillea.

Love those vines – thanks for the extra precautions taken. Oh -and thanks for sending that Weather pattern clear across the country. The effect here is of course measured in inches vs temp degrees….like 20+ and counting !

Well it’s 18 and we have 20-25 inches of snow in the driveway. The plow guy seems to think he’ll make more money plowing K-Mart (go figure). So we haven’t been plowed since this started. Sitting here with poor Em with her right arm bound up,. We’re going to decorate her soon
